I only know when it's not good at all to visit this city: during the Carnival time. I had the bad luck to be there during that time and it was horrible: the prices went up (for everything, not only hotels) and there were interminable traffic jams.So, if you want to visit, choose another period. I heard it's also crowded on the main holidays and at New Year's Eve.
