You should go and visit Marumbi National Park. It's one of the largest Atlantic rainforests in the country and is was declared a Unesco World Heritage site. The forest is made of palmito, banana trees and orchids, through which there are rivers and waterfalls and wildlife like snakes, jaguars and monkeys. You can take a train to Paranagua there (it's 2 hours). I'm not sure about the entrance fee.
