Well, when my brother was in Florianopolis he stayed at Pousada Recanto da Costa, which you will have no trouble finding on R 13 de Maio 41. It's only 15 minutes walking from the centre. Breakfast is included in the price, there's hot water and you have laundry facilities and parking. He paid 25$ per night.
