dock's question:
Today, while walking through Manaus I passed near Museum do Indio. Why is it called like this? Any indian inside?...(give a different answer) .
Indians no, but things that belong to indians yes. You can find inside the museum a great collection of utensils, clothes, ceramics, objects used in ritual by the indian tribes that lived up Rio Negro. I say it's worth visiting such a place, it reminds you of the past. The schedule of the museum: Mon-Fri 08-12, 14-17, Sat 08.30-11.30. It's in the center of the city, Rua Duque de Caxias 356
