I recommend you Ponta Negra Beach; it's a really cool place during the day... and even the night, when the outdoor concerts begin. Just take Soltur bus from the city (the ticket is $0.70). You could also try at the waterffals on the Rio Taruma. To get there wait for the Taruma bus, $0.80.
