Book a room at Arpoador Inn, overlooking Praia do Arpador on Rua Francisco Otaviano 177, Ipanema. This six-story hotel is the only one in Ipanema or Copacabana that doesn't have a busy street between it and the beach. Do look for a room that has ocean views, otherwise search for other places to stay. The rooms are small, worn and not very clean. The prices should be a lot lower: 86 US dollars for a single and 96 US dollar for a double room.
