The Jardim Botanico ( Botanical Garden) of Rio is a good place to come with your family. You'll surely enjoy its peaceful environment and the beauty of more than 5000 varieties of plants. The garden was designed for Prince Regent Dom Joao in 1808 with a row of palms and a lake full of water lilies being the most popular sections. The address is Rua Jardim Botanico, no. 920 and the admission costs only 2 dollars.
