A science museum in Rio? Especially one displaying ships or planes.(give a different answer) .
If you're interested in war ships and vessels go visit the Museu Naval e Oceanografico located on Rua Dom Manuel 15, Praca Quinze de Novembro. Admission is free. It showcases the history of the Brazilian navy from the 16th century to the present. Other exhibits include model warships, maps and navigational instruments. The nearby Espaco Cultural da Marinha on the waterfront near the eastern end of Av Presidente Vargas contains Riachuelo submarine, the WWII Bauru- a torpedo boat, and the royal family's rowboat. Admission is free here, too.
