There is Jardim Zoologico, covering over 120.000 sq meters at Quinta da Boa Vista, is the home of a large number of reptiles, mammals and birds, mostly from Brazil. Most popular spots are the large aviary, the monkey house and the night house that gathers the nocturnal animals. The zoo charges an entry fee of 2 American dollars.
